Anglican Religious Life Research Network

A significant part of the work of the Institute is to facilitate the study of Anglican religious life, and enable research projects and publications relating to Anglican religious life and adjacent interests. To this end we already host research seminars in partnership witht he Centre for Anglican Studeis at the University of Durham, and we are developing research hub in order to co-ordinate a network of scholars in the fields of monastic studies, church history and related areas.

Religious Life Symposium, 20 March 2025

Ten invited scholars/researchers, presented short papers on wide range of topics related to Anglican religious communities, in the UK and around the world. “As well as listening to each other’s papers the day was valuable for the conversations during breaks and the new connections formed. A concluding roundtable session offered the opportunity for reflection on the day and a discussion of future work. This led to the proposal to establish a research cluster.”

Research Hub

We are in the process of developing the Anglican Religious Life Research Hub. This will consist of a series of web pages, comprising a mailing list, research profiles, links to events and papers, articles and information of relevance to the study of Anglican religious life and related fields.

More to follow in due course.
